Domain Marketplace Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

General

A domain marketplace is a platform where people can buy, sell, trade, or lease aftermarket domains i.e domain names that have already been registered by someone else.

These domains are often valuable because they’re short, brandable, or have existing traffic. Our marketplace helps connect buyers and sellers, making it easy to find and secure premium domains.

We take domain authenticity seriously. All listings marked with a verified flag have been checked to confirm the ownership using DNS TXT records. This process helps ensure that the person listing the domain actually owns it. You can trust that verified listings are legitimate.

For Buyers

There are no fees or commissions for buyers on NameGULF.com. The price you see is the price you pay, plus any applicable taxes. No surprises, no hidden charges.

Your security is our top priority. When you purchase a domain, your payment is held safely in our marketplace account until the domain is successfully transferred to your account. Only once the transfer is confirmed the seller is paid. This ensures a transparent, fraud-resistant process. Additionally, our platform and payment provider uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols to safeguard your personal and payment information.

We support all major credit cards, PayPal, Wise Pay, and bank ACH transfers. If you don’t see your preferred payment option listed, just reach out to our support team and we’ll be happy to help you out.

Yes, you can transfer the domain to another registrar. However, we highly recommend first accepting the domain into an account at the current registrar for faster delivery. This way, you get the domain in your control right away.

Transferring it out immediately may not be possible due to a temporary transfer lock (up to 60 days) placed by the current registrar, as required by ICANN rules.

For Sellers

NameGULF.com charges a low 12% success fee with a minimum of $10 per domain. There are no upfront or hidden fees, you only pay when your domain is successfully sold or leased.

We love and support all domain extensions, including generic TLDs like .com, .net, .org, as well as country code extensions like .co.uk, .in, .ca, and many more. If it’s a valid domain, you can list it with us.

Domain Brokerage

A domain broker helps you buy a domain name that’s already owned by someone else. They contact the owner for you, negotiate the price, and handle the deal securely.

Use a broker when the domain you want isn’t listed for sale or if you prefer to stay anonymous during the process.

When you hire us as your broker, we reach out to the current owner of the domain you want and negotiate a deal on your behalf.

We keep your identity private, handle all the communication, and work to get you the best price. Once a deal is made, we guide you through a secure payment and domain transfer process from start to finish.

There’s a one-time initiation fee of $49.99 per domain, which helps us start the outreach process. If we can’t reach the domain owner for any reason, we’ll refund that fee.

If the deal goes through, there’s a 10% success fee based on the final purchase price. A dedicated broker negotiates on your behalf, protects your privacy, and works to secure the domain at the best possible price.

Glossary

The aftermarket refers to domains that have already been registered by someone else and are available for resale, trade, or lease.

These domains can have added value due to their popularity, length, or branding potential.

DNS is like the phonebook of the internet. It translates human-readable domain names (like example.com) into IP addresses that computers can understand, so websites can load properly.

A nameserver is a computer that helps direct traffic on the internet. It connects domain names with the correct website or service by pointing to the right server.

For e.g., our domain marketplace nameservers are ns1.namegulf.com & ns2.namegulf.com
